Each tour is determined by two factors: the time and the distance. With the new BMW R 1250 RS you can get more track out of every tour. The rich 143 Nm torque and 100 kW (136 hp) of the new boxer engine accelerate you even faster to your cruising speed. The innovative BMW ShiftCam technology offers you more torque and impressive elasticity over the entire speed range. So you can rocket to an impressive sprint on the asphalt in every riding situation. The redesigned front gives the full-LED headlight a fresh, sporty look and turns aerodynamically into the wind. This way, you can ride fast and comfortably at any time. Sportiness meets ergonomics.

The R 1250 RS combines sportiness with touring ability. The completely revised front in-cluding new engine spoiler emphasizes the dynamic overall impression of the Sport Tour-er. The symmetrical layout of the twin headlights gives the R 1250 RS a balanced and modern look. The handlebar geometry ensures a sporty sitting position.

Twin-Cylinder Boxer Engine.

Full power ahead.

BMW ShiftCam is the name of the innovative technology that lets you accelerate faster from any speed. This is achieved by means of a variable camshaft control system. The increase to 100 kW (136 hp) gives you more power and, with the capacity expansion to 1254 ccm, the possibility to make another sprint in the fast lane. The increase in torque (max. 143 Nm) is noticeable in every rpm range, so that typical boxer punch and pure riding pleasure are guaranteed.

Full LED headlights as standard.

In both low beam and high beam, the illumination is wider and more homogeneous than with conventional headlights. In addition, the light is whiter, making contours clearer and significantly increasing passive safety.

Facelift – new front and sportier appearance.

The redesigned front, including a new engine spoiler and full-LED headlight, make the R 1250 RS even more dynamic in its appearance.

You now have even more options to make your BMW R 1250 RS your bike: whether you go for the design-defining Option 719 billet pack Classic or the HP billet pack, both are very exclusive and high-quality ex works customization options. Make your R 1250 RS even more exclusive with the Spezial paint Stardust metallic, the brown seat Option 719 and the two-tone wheels Option 719. TFT display with connectivity

Connect your smartphone to your bike via Bluetooth. The 6.5-inch TFT display shows you everything about your motorcycle and offers you in conjunction with the smartphone app additional features such as navigation, music and telephony.

High-End in perfection: the high-quality slip-on silencer made of titanium with a car-bon end cap guarantees a throaty sound and a sporty look. In addition, the sports silencer developed with Akrapovič has a weight advantage over the standard si-lencer.

The high-quality, hard-shell touring case with 32 litres and 31 litres volumes provide ample space for luggage or a helmet. The splash-proof cases are lockable and are the perfect travel companion for short or longer tours. The covers can be opened wide and facilitate loading. With a payload of up to 10 kg, the sturdy hard-shell suitcases have plenty of room. The recommended maximum speed with suitcases mounted is 180 km/h. Practical options are the waterproof liners, which are perfectly matched to the touring case.
The waterproof plastic topcase with a volume of 30 litres provides enough space for a helmet. The cover, which is optionally available in asphalt grey metallic matt, Black storm metallic or Light white uni, and the soft-close hinges, which enable a gentle lowering of the cover, underline the high quality impression. The maximum payload is 5 kg.

Thanks to the carry handle and shoulder strap, the bag can be quickly and effortlessly transported by hand. Tank bag small, 5-9 l

The small tank bag made of durable PU-coated polyester fabric is the ideal com-panion for short trips. The waterproof main compartment with inner bag, the exterior pocket, the volume that can be expanded from 5 to 9 litres, the carry handle and the removable shoulder strap are functional features that meet all your everyday needs.

Option 719 rider footrests, adjustable

The classic aluminium rider footrests with plastic footplate are adjustable in three positions and provide maximum comfort and surefootedness on and off-road. The high-quality milled parts of the exclusive Option 719 provide additional stability and even better control of the motorcycle when riding in a standing position, especially off-road.

Option 719 foot lever, adjustable

The exclusive Option 719 foot levers are milled from anodised aluminium and are individually adjustable. With the right set up, the foot levers can also be operated better and more sensitively when riding while standing up during off-road use. The high-quality Billet Pack parts with Option 719 branding add value to the bike.

Option 719 Classic cylinder head covers

The cylinder head covers of the exclusive Option 719 add design highlights with their silver-coloured appearance. The high-quality milled covers made of anodised aluminium bring the boxer engine into the spotlight. The exclusive special parts bear the inscription „Option 719“ and emphasise the high-quality character of the bike.

Ergonomics and comfort.
Rider’s seats

Rider’s seat high, black:
The 30 mm higher rider’s seat in black is particularly suitable for tall drivers. The comfortable knee angle provides the rider with a noticeable increase in seating comfort and thus even more carefree kilometres, especially on long-haul routes.

Rider’s seat low, black:
The rider’s seat in black, which is 30 mm lower, makes mounting your bike easier and improves accessibility to the ground. This makes it easier to manoeuvre and control the motorcycle.

Rider’s seat Sport, black:
The rider’s seat Sport in black is higher and narrower than the standard seat and supports a sporty riding style thanks to its active seat adjustment. With a seat height of 840 mm and a rider step length of 1,875 mm, it is particularly well suited for tall riders.

Tinted windshield

The tinted windscreen emphasizes the machine’s sporty character. With scratch-resistant coating for permanent transparency the dimensions and shape corre-spond to the standard windscreen.

Navigation and communication.
BMW Navigator VI

The multifunctional Navigator VI makes route planning child’s play. The system with 16 GB flash memory and five-inch touch screen always points the right direction. Thanks to the circular polarisation filter (CPOL), the waterproof display is easy to read even in direct sunlight. The high-resolution screen in a smartphone-like hous-ing provides all essential information and thus the overview needed in every situa-tion. Numerous additional functions make planning and tour an exciting experi-ence. Routes can be created to reflect personal preferences in order to enjoy jour-neys along winding and quiet side roads. In unknown terrain, the „round trip“ op-tion is a good choice as it reliably guides the rider at the end of the tour back to the starting point. The Bluetooth connection to the BMW Motorrad communication sys-tem and the optional smartphone link app enable a pure multimedia experience on the go: navigation instructions, phone calls, streaming music and retrieving weather forecasts or traffic jam information are no problem. Navigation preparation adds further functions such as „My Motorcycle“, and the multi-controller on the handle-bars offers an alternative control option. If the rider has opted for pre-installed map data, this is always up to date thanks to lifelong, free map updates.

Safety
Enduro aluminium engine guard

The robust Enduro aluminium engine guard effectively protects the lower part of the engine against stone chips and damage. The aluminium engine guard, special-ly designed for off-road use, is two millimetres thick and significantly wider and longer than the standard engine guard. The special shape also emphasises the motorcycleís off-road look.
