M Racer
R plus M equals racing bike
With numerous M Performance Parts, the S 1000 R is ready for the racetrack. The many carbon parts not only create an uncompromising aesthetic, they also make the motorcycle more aerodynamic and lightweight. So, hop on to the M Sport seat and go on the attack. Once the challenge has been completed, you can place the bike safely on the assembly stand mounting. Please note that some parts are not permitted on public roads and can only be used on the racetrack.
The front cover of the brake fluid expansion tank is made of milled aluminium and gives the motorcycle a more sophisticated look. The double-anodised component with a lasered M logo perfectly matches the bike’s sporty aesthetic.
The M rider's seat in black was designed specifically for the racetrack, and can enhance your stamina while riding thanks to the optimal feedback. The anodised, CNC-milled M Footrest system in black with the M logo and BMW branding underlines the dynamic look of the bike. The grooved footboard offers additional hold to give you optimal control of the vehicle.
The M Carbon wheel trims for the front and rear wheels protect both the rider and the motorcycle, while also emphasising the bike’s dynamic character with their high-gloss aesthetic. The M Carbon chain guard gives your bike even more of a racing look. The black anodised M forged-alloy wheels reduce gyroscopic forces, thus increasing agility.
The M bike stand intake makes it possible to use the rear of the Sport stand. The high-quality pivot arm adapter is simply mounted at the rear to the pivot arm and can remain on the motorcycle even during use. With their M look, they fit the sporty racing design of the bike perfectly.
The M engine protectors made of aluminium protect the engine from direct grinding on the asphalt in extreme cornering situations, thus reliably preventing grinding on engine components and the ensuing engine damage. The sleek, three-part engine spoiler in Light white lends added aesthetic value to the motorcycle, and emphasises its dynamic tone.
The BMW Motorrad radiator grille guards reliably protect the radiator from tyre abrasion and damage from stone chips. The M axle protectors protect the fork and rear wheel swinging arm from scratches in the event of a fall. The robust drop-protection pads are made of highly wear-resistant plastic and can take quite a beating in the event of a fall.
The black mirrors emphasise the motorcycle’s sporty aesthetic. The mirrors, each weighing 300 g, are perfectly coordinated to match the vehicle, and reduce vibrations that can restrict your view of what’s behind you. The lightweight, high-quality carbon wind deflector makes a clear statement when it comes to sportiness with its aesthetic. It is coated with UV-resistant, high-gloss paint and is particularly impact-resistant.

The passenger seat in black offers a comfortable place to sit, while the aluminium M footrests on the left and right offer a particularly secure hold.
The luggage plate made from robust plastic replaces the passenger seat, and is the perfect basis for safely transporting larger items of luggage. With the integrated lashing eyes, you can also attach luggage close to the vehicle’s centre of gravity.
The M rider footrests from BMW Motorrad provide an uncompromisingly sporty look and with optimal ergonomics and athleticism thanks to the various adjustment options. They are milled from a high-strength aluminium alloy, are particularly lightweight, and offer optimal corrosion protection due to the tricolour anodisation.
The 10 mm handlebars made of anodised aluminium mean that even taller riders can enjoy an upright and comfortable sitting position.
The low, clear windscreen with scratch-resistant coating noticeably relieves the upper body of wind pressure and provides a sporty accent. The classic roadster look remains intact, but riders can still relax and cover fast motorway stretches or longer tours.
The retrofit kit for the navigation preparation can be securely attached at the head tube. This guarantees it to be positioned right in the rider’s line of sight. Additionally, the holder blends in seamlessly in the vehicle cockpit environment. It can be used to install the BMW Navigator VI or older, as well as the BMW Navigator Street.
The 10 l passenger seat bag from BMW Motorrad is perfectly adapted to the racing design of the bike. It can be fitted precisely to the passenger seat without the use of special holders, retains its shape, and can be expanded from 7 to up to 10 litres in volume for more baggage, which will stay well protected in the water-tight inner bag.
